Location-Based Service Terms

Effective: May 7, 2026

Section 1. Purpose

These Location-Based Service Terms ("LBS Terms") describe how the ZIZIZIK application ("the App"), operated by Impact Labs Inc. (주식회사 임팩트연구소) ("we," "us," or the "Company"), collects and uses your location data. Location data is used for two purposes:
  1. Nearby station search -- displaying EV charging stations near your current location on the map and in list view.
  2. Route guidance -- computing driving directions from your location (or a user-specified origin) to a selected charging station, powered by Google Maps Platform.

Section 2. Location Data Collected

  1. Precise GPS coordinates. When you grant the App foreground location permission, the App accesses your device's GPS coordinates to provide the services described in Section 1.
  2. Foreground only. The App does not request or use background location access. Location data is collected only while the App is actively in use in the foreground.
  3. No persistent server-side retention. Your precise GPS coordinates are transmitted to our servers and to Google Maps Platform solely to fulfill your immediate request (a nearby station search or route computation). We do not retain your precise location data on our servers beyond the active session, except as needed to fulfill your specific request. Aggregated, de-identified usage statistics (such as the number of station searches per region) may be retained for service improvement.

Section 3. Use and Sharing

  1. Google Maps Platform. Your location data is transmitted to Google Maps Platform to render maps and compute routes. This transmission is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  2. Local caching. Location data may be cached locally on your device for performance. This cache is cleared when you close the App or revoke location permission.
  3. No sale or sharing for advertising. We do not sell your location data. We do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  4. Legal obligations. We may disclose location data if required by law, regulation, or legal process (such as a valid subpoena or court order).

Section 4. Your Control Over Location Data

  1. Granting permission. The App requests your permission before accessing location data. You choose whether to grant or deny this permission.
  2. Revoking permission. You may revoke location permission at any time through your device's operating-system settings:
    • iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > ZIZIZIK
    • Android: Settings > Apps > ZIZIZIK > Permissions > Location
  3. Effect of denial or revocation. If you deny or revoke location permission, the App continues to function. Features that depend on your location (nearby station search and route guidance from your current position) will be limited. You can still search for stations by city name, address, or ZIP code.

Section 5. State-Specific Notices

  1. California (CCPA/CPRA). Precise geolocation is classified as Sensitive Personal Information under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. We use geolocation data only to provide the services described in Section 1. You have the right to limit the use and disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information; however, because we use geolocation solely to provide requested services, no additional limitation applies. For full details on your California privacy rights, see our Privacy Policy.
  2. Other state privacy laws. Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Delaware, Iowa, Tennessee, Montana, New Hampshire, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Indiana, Kentucky, Nebraska, and Rhode Island may have rights related to their location data under applicable state privacy laws. See Section 11 of our Privacy Policy for how to exercise those rights.
  3. Illinois. Location data collected by the App is geographic positioning data only. It is not biometric data as defined under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).

Section 6. Children

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect location data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected location data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with location data, contact us at contact@empactlabs.com.

Section 7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these LBS Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least thirty (30) days' advance notice. Your continued use of location-based features after the revised terms take effect constitutes your acceptance.
